Hi

I am aware that these are idiomatic expressions, but I am not sure how many of these are natural. Could you please help me? How do you find these sentences?

  1. She was all smiles when she saw her result.
  2. Uncle Bob was all frowns when his team lost the match.
  3. My mother is all praises for our new tenants.

Thanks,

Tom

No good except for the first one. 'All smiles' is a fixed phrase.

MM, could you please look at the first sentence of frazeit, com and tell me how you find the use of all-praises (with a hyphen)? Odd?

Tom

Yes, odd. No hyphen.
